Is there an age restriction for participants?

The minimum age for the 10km distances is 16. The minimum age for half marathon is 18.

I registered for the half marathon, can I drop to the 10km?

We allow participants to change their booking up to three weeks prior to the event. There is a €5 admin fee for changes to bookings.

Can I get a refund or defer my entry?

Unfortunately, no. We cannot refund your fee (unless requested within 14 days of purchase) or defer entry to the following year under any circumstances. Transfers are also not allowed.

Can I walk an event?

Yes we allow walkers and have an earlier start time for them so they can enjoy the atmosphere at the finish along with the runners

Can I enter after an online entry is closed?

There may be the opportunity to enter an event on the day, only if the event has not sold out. This will be communicated on social media platforms prior to the event.

Do I have to go to registration?

If you have selected the postage option for your race kit, then you do not need to present at registration. If you have not opted for the kit to be posted, then you must present at registration.

When will my race package be posted out to me?

Your race pack will be sent to you in the weeks leading to the event. It will be sent to you 7 days before the event.

My number has not arrived yet?

Race numbers can arrive as late as the day before the event. If you have not received your race number by then, please inform a member of staff at number collection on the day of the event and we will issue you a new number.

What time should I arrive to an event?

You should arrive well in advance of the start of the race, especially if you need to register. Give yourself time to prepare for the race, have a stretch and orient yourself with the starting area.

Why do I have to pay for a one day licence?

The one-day-licence is a requirement by Athletics Ireland to compete in their events. The fee is only applicable to participants who are not a member of Athletics Ireland.

Will I get an official time for my race?

Yes. We are using timing chips. You will receive one attached to your race number at registration.

Will I get a medal for finishing the race?

Yes, everyone who finishes a race will receive a medal.

Can I raise funds for charity?

Yes, we encourage you to do so.

Can a friend/family member run part of the race with me?

Unfortunately, no. There are insurance issues with non-registered people running the event. The participant limit is also to ensure the enjoyment of the event by not overcrowding the course.
